More importantly, it demonstrates to students, churches, donors, and the public that an institution is committed to excellence and ongoing improvement.

Accreditation Pathway
Every institution's journey is unique, but the path to accreditation follows a clear, collaborative process designed to prepare your institution for long-term success. From your first conversation with ACE through accreditation and ongoing reaffirmation, our team is committed to guiding you every step of the way.
Connect and Apply
Your journey begins with a conversation. We'll answer your questions, discuss eligibility, explain the accreditation process, and provide the resources you need to get started. When you're ready, you'll submit your application and supporting documentation, and an Accreditation Evaluator will be assigned to guide your institution through the process.
Candidate Status
After your application is approved, your institution enters Candidate Status. During this stage, you'll complete a comprehensive self-study while working directly with your Evaluator to demonstrate compliance with the ACE Standards of Accreditation and prepare for your peer review. Candidate Status is normally valid for six months, with a limited extension available under qualifying circumstances.
Site Evaluation
A team of experienced evaluators conducts a comprehensive review of your institution to verify compliance with the Standards of Accreditation. The site evaluation confirms the quality, effectiveness, and integrity of your institution while providing valuable recommendations for continued growth. In limited circumstances, the Board of Examiners may approve a remote evaluation.
Accreditation
Following a successful evaluation, your institution is granted accreditation and becomes part of a growing community committed to excellence in Christian education. Accreditation is not the end of the journey—it's the beginning of an ongoing partnership. Through annual reporting, periodic reaffirmation, and continuous improvement, ACE remains committed to helping your institution strengthen its mission and expand its impact for years to come.
Seal of Excellence
When a member of our Association passes the rigorous standards of accreditation for their Christian educational programs or institution, they are awarded a certificate that must be publicly posted on campus, and an accreditation seal that must be used on their website.
